New York

When New York decides to fully embrace gambling, it is almost certain to fly to the top of the Wedge Index, due to the wealth of the residents, the potential for advertisers and the sheer size of the market available, but as of just now it is just not quite there.
There are upstate casinos, and these casinos allow sports betting, whilst there is the famous New York State Lottery and numerous race tracks. However, there is so much more which could be achieved in New York and, despite constant pressure, the governors have refused to allow mobile betting for any products, which leaves the Empire State residents having to cross the Hudson and go to New Jersey to place their wagers if they want to do in bars or while meeting friends.
