Iowa
Iowa has a total of 19 casinos in its 56,292 square mile land mass and 13 of them allow legal sports betting. However, it is still not a simple process to register for online betting accounts and there hasn’t been the same rush of sportsbooks to try to conquer the Hawkeye State as there has in other territories.
This may be in part due to the fact that Iowa is not a significant population in the same way as New York, California or Illinois, but what it means is that progress hasn’t necessarily accelerated in terms of betting options and it’s still a little awkward, hence the lower Wedge Index score.
