Connecticut

Connecticut’s gambling is run exclusively by the Indian Tribes and like several other US states, this has caused some problems when it comes to expanding on its legal gaming options.
The Tribes are obviously keen to attract more customers to their casinos, and so are looking at any kind of sports betting legislation or any other new products, but they are very, very reluctant to allow other players to enter the market.
This has caused something of an impasse in Connecticut and they now lag behind most of their neighbors, who have embraced sports betting and even built new properties to help attract tourists. Connecticut, however, has only two land based casinos and so sits quite a way down the Wedge Index in terms of options for residents.
