Alabama

There is currently no legal sports betting available in Alabama and it is one of the few states in America without even a state lottery.
Most attempts to integrate any form of gambling into the Alabama legislature have been rejected, although there are some Tribal Casino operating within state lines.
The three casinos are operated by the Poach Band of Creek Indians, who also operate the Wind Creek Casino in Pennsylvania. This casino offers legal sports betting and should the Alabama governors pass a bill to allow sports betting, there would be the infrastructure to offer a sportsbook within the casino to the public.
As yet, however, there is no legal sports betting in Alabama, and it is one of the few states that doesn’t allow Daily Fantasy Sports, which means it sits very low on the Wedge Index.
