IGT and Golden Nugget announce state launches

IGT and Golden Nugget Online Gaming will be active in Colorado and West Virginia thanks to access deals with Maverick Gaming and Greenbrier Hotel Corporation respectively. 

International Game Technology (IGT) is targeting Colorado thanks to the agreement to power Maverick Gaming’s three casinos and its online sports-betting.

IGT turnkey for Maverick 

Maverick Gaming has three casinos, the Grand Z and Johnny Z in Central City and Z Casino in Black Hawk.

It also runs the online-betting brand Play Maverick Sports.

They will all now will be working off IGT’s PlaySports turnkey solution.

IGT will also manage Maverick’s mobile betting app and kiosk terminal service.

Colorado is currently third on the Wedge Index. The arrival of another betting brand and major supplier like IGT adds to the state’s standing.

The Centennial State recorded a record betting handle of $207m in September, a rise of 61% on August’s figures.

Mobile is popular in the state with 98% of Coloradans placing their bets via mobiles.  

Justin Beltram, Chief Operating Officer of Maverick Gaming, said it partnered with IGT due to the latter’s “proven (supply) ability”.

“Maverick Gaming cannot wait to extend the excitement of sports betting to our players and sports fans throughout Colorado.”

Enrico Drago, IGT PlayDigital Senior Vice President, added that Maverick is now positioned to benefit from the entire PlaySports value chain.

“IGT will help fuel the success of Maverick Gaming’s Colorado sports-betting enterprise.”

GNOG casino focus 

Golden Nugget Online Gaming (GNOG) secured access to a fifth state, signing an access deal for West Virginia. 

GNOG will launch online sports-betting and casino products for the Greenbrier, which is owned by West Virginia Governor Jim Justice.

It will pay a percentage of online net gaming revenue minus royalty payments to the casino. 

GNOG will be the Greenbrier’s third sports-betting partner after FanDuel and BetMGM. It is also its second online casino skin after BetMGM.

The agreement means that GNOG will have access to all locally-regulated states for online casino.
